Is it true that college graduates or individuals with master’s degree become officers?

Ok, here’s my situation, I graduated from a university and got my masters degree. My masters degree and college degree are business focused. I have always wanted to be in the army and make it a career but my parents would have none of it. I just thought would my college and masters degree count for something and make me an officer (go through officers training) or do I start from private?
