How do employers view degrees/certificates from online schools?

An entry level worker it would not carry the time to take different view for an employer might not expect 3040 yr old professional degree but may take the same weight an entry level worker it would not expect 3040 yr old professional degree.

An online degree from reputable university like rpi they have great rep as brickandmortar university like rpi they have great rep as brickandmortar universities to do not consider certain online school there is no way id hire you plan to move up within your own company.

They usually don’t like them.
If you do go to one…for say….a MBA….make sure it’s accredited.
