Is the University of Phoenix an accredited university?

I have my bachelor’s degree, but I decided to take night accounting courses while working over the past few years. I just moved to California from NY and I was told I could take courses at a school out here but now that I am out here, they are saying I cannot (no room in 2 of the 4 courses I wanted to take). I need one of them, so I want to take it online at University of Phoenix. How does it work? And since it’s not for a degree and only to fulfill CPA exam credit requirements, I would want to get credit for it.
Oh…and the courses I am taking are just undergrad courses. I got my degree in International Relations and decided to shift gears after college. Oh well.

Will it be counterproductive to go for an associates degree if I already have a bachelor’s degree?

SunshineT asked:

I have a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Business Admin. from a pretty decent university, however, I have just decided to become a Nurse (obtaining an associate’s degree from a technical college). So what I’ll probably end up with is two bachelor degrees. Can anyody give me some advice on whether the route I’m taking is counterproductive?
