Is University of Phoenix a good school to attend if I am trying to become a teacher?

June 30, 2007 By: admin Category: college Comments Off

Charlie asked:

I just acquired my high school diploma and I am interested in attending University of Phoenix. When I however filled out the application on line it said that my class was not available for campus classes only online. My ex whom works in college admissions in Jacksonville, Florida advised me to take classes to receive my associates degree. Will this affect me becoming a teacher or will it benefit me? And is the any other college I could maybe consider?
Please Help!

What does a US student w/ a bachelor degree & masters degree need to do to get accepted to UK medical schools?

June 29, 2007 By: admin Category: college 2 Comments →

jerseyshore man asked:

I am college graduate with a Bachelor of science degree in Exercise Sport Science. I also have a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. What standardized tests do I need to take to become eligible to apply to UK medical schools? Also, what is the probability that a foreign student will get accepted to UK medical schools? Are the academic curriculums between the United States and UK too different for a US student, with my credentials, to get accepted to UK medical schools?

I am looking to live permanently in the UK after i finish medical school.

Jamaal H asked:

I just graduated with my Management Information systems degree but I changed my mind at the last minute. I really want to do something in graphic design. But I didn’t follow my desire and went with the dreams of someone else. Now that I got older and grabbed a hold of myself. How can get my masters in Graphic design or something related to Visual Arts. I just mess around with art but never thought of it as a career till now. Is it possible. HElp me thanks! :D

Did you go to the University of Phoenix to become a teacher?

June 24, 2007 By: admin Category: college Comments Off

sobay310 asked:

I am thinking of taking online courses through the University of Phoenix. My plan is to obtain my Bachelor’s to meet the degree requirement of obtaining my teaching credential so I can go on to teach elementary school.

The University of Phoenix is on the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing Approved Professional Preparation Programs, and I wanted to hear from other UOP Alumns who went on to teach. What was your experience like? Did your school district second guess your College Degree from the University of Phoenix?

I’ve read all the UOP bashing, so please only reply if you can have gone to UOP to become a teacher.

Of course I would like to go to a regular classroom, but I just don’t have the flexibility to go to class, work full time, and take care of my wife and 2 year old girl. The University of Phoenx seems to be my best route at this point.
